S. VOHIDOV AS A TRANSLATOR AND A PROMOTER OF INTERCULTURAL LITERARY COMMUNICATION
Abstract
This article analyzes the role of S. Vohidov as a translator and an active promoter of intercultural literary communication. Through his translation activity, Vohidov contributed significantly to the dialogue between Uzbek literature and world literary traditions. He regarded translation as a cultural bridge that enables mutual understanding between nations while preserving national identity and artistic originality. The study emphasizes that Vohidov’s translation practice was not limited to linguistic transfer but functioned as a form of cultural mediation, facilitating the exchange of aesthetic values, ideas, and literary traditions. His approach remains relevant in modern translation studies, particularly in the context of globalization and intercultural interaction.
