EMBEDDING CULTURE IN LANGUAGE CLASSROOMS
Abstract
This article explores the importance of embedding culture into language classrooms to enrich learners’ communicative competence and intercultural awareness. It analyzes practical approaches, pedagogical frameworks, and classroom strategies that facilitate the integration of cultural content alongside linguistic objectives. The discussion highlights how cultural immersion enhances motivation, supports authentic language use, and fosters a deeper understanding of the target language community. The article also reviews challenges teachers may face when incorporating cultural elements and suggests practical recommendations to overcome these barriers.
