Abstract

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) of the subthalamic nucleus (STN) is an effective therapy for advanced Parkinson’s disease (PD), improving motor function in patients with inadequate response to medication. However, neuropsychiatric and behavioral complications may occur postoperatively.
