Abstract

This study investigates the use of comparisons and metaphors as essential linguistic tools in magical and everyday fairy tales from English, Russian, and Uzbek cultures. By examining similes and metaphors, this research aims to uncover their specific characteristics and the impact they have on cultural values and identity. Employing both qualitative and quantitative analytical methods, the study encompasses linguistic dimensions while providing methodological recommendations for educators. The findings underscore the importance of similes and metaphors in enhancing language competence and fostering intercultural communication among learners.
