ENVIROMENTAL FACTORS AND IMPORTANCE OF CATALYSTS IN INDUSTRY
Abstract
This article explores the role of catalysis in various industrial sectors, emphasizing its impact on process efficiency and product quality, as well as the environmental challenges it poses. While catalysts in industries like petrochemicals, automotive, and food processing enhance energy efficiency and reduce emissions, they also generate environmental risks, such as toxic waste and harmful emissions. To mitigate these impacts, solutions like green catalysis, catalyst recycling, nano-catalysts, and the use of modern filtration systems are discussed. The article highlights the importance of adopting sustainable catalysis practices to balance industrial growth with environmental conservation, ensuring a path toward sustainable development.
