THE IMPACT OF NUTRITION ON THE HUMAN NERVOUS SYSTEM.
Abstract
This paper discusses the vital role of nutrition in maintaining and supporting the normal functioning of the human nervous system. Proper nutrition provides essential nutrients such as vitamins B1, B6, B12, omega-3 fatty acids, amino acids, and minerals that ensure efficient nerve signal transmission, brain activity, and cognitive performance. Deficiency of these nutrients can lead to disorders such as depression, anxiety, memory loss, and peripheral neuropathy.
Furthermore, the paper highlights the effects of excessive sugar, caffeine, and processed food consumption, which may negatively influence neural balance and increase the risk of neurodegenerative diseases. The study emphasizes that a balanced diet rich in fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins plays a key role in maintaining mental health and preventing nervous system disorders.
